The aim of the education is to impart knowledge, lay bare facts in their right perspective and imbibe values in the malleable pupils of an institution. To this end KV Thane was established as one amongst the many prestigious Kendriya Vidyalayas of the Country in the year 1981. Since then, the school has come a long way while paving the way for many meritorious students who have attained distinguished heights in the careers of their choice. The faculty has all along strived to achieve academic excellence and total development of personality of its students. The four-fold mission of the school is to: (1) Cater to the educational needs of children whose parents are employed by central government bodies and who are transferred time to time. Peer Tutoring

PM SHRI KV AFS Thane has initiated a programme named “Peer Tutoring” for all the classes from 6 to 12. Under this programme, a zero period is arranged on every Saturday where students sit together in group and teach each other. Peer tutoring is specially helpful to the students who are shy in raising questions and asking doubts in class.
